The Golden Route

Enjoy by boat and on foot some of the most beautiful parts of the city! During our excursion ‘the Golden Route’, we will sail through the picturesque and breathtaking western islands and show you the wonderful and lively Jordaan quarter.

At a prearranged time we will welcome you on board of a beautiful boat with a special Old-Amsterdam liquor.

Via the historical canals we will first sail to the western islands. This picturesque quarter is a rarely visited gem nearby the city centre, wich official name is  'The golden Quarter'.  From the water the view is magnificent. Old warehouses, former dockyards, bridges and ‘odd spots’ make these islands absolutely romantic.

We will go on sailing through the northern Jordaan quarter with its two absolutely gorgeous canals. These canals are so narrow that only small boats can pass through them. We’ll leave the big roundtrip boats far behind us!

After our boat trip we will continue on foot and explore more of the famous Jordaan quarter. With its hidden courtyards it’s especially worth visiting during the spring or in summer.

After two hours of sailing and walking you have seen an absolutely unique part of the city!
